Walking on the street in Spain, it’s easy
to see that people are more dressed up here. Girls wear skinny jeans a lot. At
night, a lot of them wear jackets and heels. Somehow, I saw a lot of guys
wearing colorful pants here, which I didn’t see much in the US. For more than
two weeks in Bilbao, I’ve never seen people wearing hoodies and sweatpants on
the street. Because of they are more dressed up all the time, I wasn’t sure if I
could wear my pajamas to breakfast in the dorm. Can I?
Interestingly, for those t-shirts with
patterns on the front, a lot of girls in China wear like that. But in China,
people don’t wear skinny jeans and jackets this much, especially those denim jackets.
Some clothes in China are influenced by Korea and Japan and are very very
girly.
I like the tandem of conversation, but I’m
a little nervous about the tandem classes too. When my partner and I talk in
Spanish, it’s sometimes difficult for me to understand him. It’s much easier
when we talk in English because his English is so much better than my Spanish. This
activity forces me to talk in Spanish, which is actually a good thing for me
because I’m always nervous about speaking Spanish. I like this.
