Gearmo and others....

I am sad to report that we have less than 2 weeks left in the wonderful country of Spain. I have having so much fun I need to find a husband from Spain so that I do not have to leave...(kidding...a little). Shopping here is great in the part near the fountain. I am happy with Blanco and Mango and I even found my mom some great soap at a cute store in Casco Viejo. But the people here definitely dress better than in the United States. I have not seen one person in gym shorts (other than me) and they look always well presented. Also guys for some reason are into jean cargo shorts (don't understand this at all). The people here are also a lot nicer than in the United States. People are always down to have a conversation with me in broken Spanish and always are interested in where I am from/why I am in Spain wrecking havoc on their lives. Every night we go out we always meet people who love living here and are so proud to be basque. We also encountered a few bachelor parties this past weekend which is funny to see the customs of the people here. As you can see in the pictures one was dressed as Jesus and offered us a wax strip to wax off his leg hair?  People at restaurants are also more polite and they never rush you. The other day we had to ask for the check after 20 minutes of digesting because they do not want to rush your meal, which is the most social thing you can do in Spain. Tandem was a little intimidating at first but now that I have Seth Brogan for my partner I love it. It is so interesting to here their stories growing up in a different country. For example, my partner is studying English to pass a test that says he can speak English. I think he speaks very well but he doesn't. He also is studying art history and wants to work in a museum one day. I like the program because it forces you to talk in Spanish and be uncomfortable but it really helps you to learn. I even changed the topic of my project because my conversations were so interesting and I want him to like talking about our topic. Only two weeks left...but maybe more if i find my husband (Carla hook me up)
