San Fermin

Me encanta San Fermin! Getting into the arena and seeing red and white everywhere, the atmosphere of the festival was so strong. When the festival started, I was so excited to see the bull running. However, it was quite short, shorter than I expected. I was a little disappointed. Seeing it on the screen wasn’t exciting at all. If I have the chance, I would like to run with the bulls. That must be much more exciting than watching on the screen.

Then the show of young bulls started. At first, it was very exciting and scary to see people getting hurt. Then, after several rounds, it seemed like those people were OK. The horns were not sharp at all. I was glad that people were actually quite safe down there because some of them were pretty drunk and were doing things they wouldn’t do if they were sober.

Also, I felt bad that a young bull was put into the arena with hundreds of people trying to provoke him. He was just a bull child and he must be scared. But at the same time, I kind of enjoyed the show. So I don’t know how to judge this. I personally liked it but I did feel bad.

After that, we went to have some chocolate con chorros in the Café Iruña. I was not cheap, like 5.50 euros. But it was sooo good. It’s like melted chocolate. I loved it.
